The Splash Zone 10/4/23: Is Mike McDaniel worried about the Dolphins defense?

After the Miami Dolphins were knocked out of the playoffs last season, Mike McDaniel made the decision to get rid of Josh Boyer and bring in Vic Fangio as the new defensive coordinator. After the first month of the 2023 season, there is some concern with how the defense has been performing. Everything seemed to go wrong on Sunday, when the Buffalo Bills offense shredded the Dolphins defense all game long. This is a whole new defensive system being implemented and it’s hard to expect players to just pick it up right away, considering the past three seasons were all about blitzing. Mike McDaniel has faith that the issues can get fixed and that’s all we can hope for at this point in time.
