Miami Dolphin fans were elated when the team retained Mike Gesicki by using the franchise tag on him this offseason. Gesicki has been on of the best pass catching tight ends the past couple seasons and the hope was he would fit well into the Mike McDaniel offense. That hasn’t been the case though as Gesicki has struggled to become a better blocker, something he was never quite good at. But he made up for the weakness by being a big receiving threat for whoever was at quarterback for the Dolphins. Unfortunately, this offense just doesn’t seem to fit Gesicki’s skillset.
