The Splash Zone 7/17/22: Future Of Mike Gesicki And The Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins and Mike Gesicki had until Friday (July 15th) to sign a long term extension or else Gesicki would be playing the season on the franchise tag. Friday came and went and there was no new deal for the tight end. If we’re just going off experience, the offense Mike McDaniel runs relies on the tight ends to block well and that is something Gesicki just cannot do well, but he is a mismatch in the passing game. We just don’t know how well Gesicki will be in this offense until the regular season comes around.
