The first trade of the day involved the San Francisco 49ers and the Miami Dolphins swapping some picks. This traded involved the Dolphins sending their 2021 1st rounders (3rd overall) to the 49ers for their 2021 first (12th overall), a first and third in 2022, and finally another first in 2023.

But Miami wasn’t done their. Just moments after trading with the 49ers, it was announced the Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles made a trade. So Miami sent their new 2021 first (12th overall), their 4th round pick (123), and their 2022 first round pick. The Eagles sent their 2021 first (6th overall) and their fifth (156).

That’s a lot to take in. 49ers likely traded up for a QB and we’re still not sure on what the Dolphins draft plan is. Miami is still in a great spot to take any of the top 4 pass catchers in Ja’Marr Chase, DeVonta Smith, Kyle Pitts, or Jaylen Waddle.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.

San Francisco 49ers move up in NFL draft, acquire No. 3 pick from Miami Dolphins, sources say
As part of two blockbuster NFL draft trades, the Dolphins have dealt the No. 3 overall pick to the 49ers in exchange for the No. 12 overall pick, which Miami then shipped to the Eagles for the No. 6 pick.
