Tua Tagovailoa says he and his hip are ready to go during a preseason in which there will be no games. Tagovailoa is going to compete against Ryan Fitzpatrick for the starting job and faces a disadvantage without those preseason games. Fitzpatrick is familiar with his supporting cast and has the experience from working with Chan Gailey. Tua is going to play some football this year, it’s just a matter of when.
