If the Miami Dolphins would like to draft a quarterback in the first round of the NFL Draft, then they should probably free up some cap space and address some needs in free agency. Lawrence Timmons, Julius Thomas, and Ja’Wuan James are expected to be cut and will free up some of the Dolphins cap space to hopefully add some starters to the mix. The team could also look to restructure some deals, like Ndamukong Suh’s contract. If the team can address a few needs in free agency, then they can take a quarterback without feeling guilty.
