The NFL Combine had its final day of workouts, with defensive backs on the field. After the workouts, some questions were answered, but others weren't. Here's a look at some of the performances.

The final day of the 2013 NFL Combine brought a mixed bag of results for the defensive backs working out. Some guys surprised with how fast they are, while some guys surprised with how slowly they ran. Some guys will shoot up draft boards based on today's workouts, while others may soon find themselves falling to later rounds.

Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner ran a 4.37 second 40-yard dash, to pretty well end the hopes of some that he will fall to the Miami Dolphins at the 12th spot in April's Draft. Milliner will have shoulder surgery on March 12, with a recovery time of around two months, so theoretically his draft stock could take a slight dip. However, his workout today could make him a top five overall pick, and should guarantee he is selected in the top ten.

Washington's Desmond Trufant helped himself on the day, running a 4.38 second 40 yard dash, the third fastest among cornerbacks. He recorded 16 reps on the bench press, 37.5 inches on the vertical jump (tied for sixth among CBs), and had the second fastest 20-yard shuttle among all Combine participants, 3.85 seconds. Trufant will likely remain a second round pick, but could be sitting nicely for the Dolphins when the clock comes back to them on Draft Day 2.

Safety Kenny Vaccaro from Texas disappointed on the day. He has been projected as a possible target for the Dolphins in the first round, but he ran a slow 40, timing in at 4.63. He plays faster on the football field, recognizing angles and breaking on the ball well, but a 4.63 could not be what he wanted to run. The rest of his stats on the day were up and down, only recording 15 reps on the bench press and 121.0" on the broad jump, while recording the position best time in the 20-yard shuttle (4.06 seconds) and the sixth best vertical jump (38.0"). Vaccaro will probably still be a first day pick, but his performance could make teams in the top half of the first round shy away from him.

Florida State cornerback Xavier Rhodes should also be available for the Dolphins in the second round, running a 4.41 second 40 today. He also scored the top vertical jump for corners at 40.5 inches, and the top broad jump at the position (132.0").

The most interesting player hitting the floor of Lucas Oil Stadium today was former LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu. The "Honey Badger" has red flags all over him, stemming from at least one failed drug test, being kicked off the LSU football team, entering rehab in Houston, only to leave to return to school, then was arrested. Mathieu has been out of football for a year now, meaning he has had a year to do nothing but prepare for the NFL Combine. He apparently did not do that, putting up a 4.50 40 time and the worst bench press results at the position with 4 reps. With that much time to work out, Mathieu should have come in to the Combine ready to dominate, but that apparently didn't happen. He has talent with the ball in his hands. He may have to play as a kick and punt returner primarily, possibly seeing the field as a nickel-type corner. Is that enough to overcome those red flags?

Obviously, how big a need the Dolphins have in their secondary will be determined by what happens with Sean Smith. Do the Dolphins need to find two starting cornerbacks for next season, or will Smith return and fill one of those positions? Should the team take a corner in the first round, then look to double up in the second, or will waiting until the second, and addressing either pass rusher or wide receiver, be the right move?

Either way, the Combine may have added more questions about defensive backs than it answered.

Entering the final day of the NFL Combine, the Miami Dolphins could be looking at an NFL Draft capable of finally solving one of the team's biggest needs. After watching all of the prospects run, other than the defensive backs who hit the field today, the Combine has proven one thing: the 2013 Draft has speed.

The 2013 NFL Combine is entering its final day, with defensive backs hitting the floor of Lucas Oil Field this morning. With most of the prospects complete, there's one thing this draft will provide, and it's something the Miami Dolphins desperately need. There's no denying that the 2013 NFL Draft will feature speed.

The Dolphins have been coveting speed for years, through multiple coaching regimes. Tony Sparano wanted speed and couldn't find it. Joe Philbin wanted speed last year, and didn't have it. This year, the Dolphins should be able to finally fill that need.

The Combine's 40-yard dash was topped by Texas wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, who ran in 4.27 seconds. Behind him were wide receivers Ryan Swope of Texas A&M and Tavon Austin from West VIrginia, along with running back Onterio McCalebb from Auburn.

Arkansas running back Knile Davis came in fifth at 4.37 seconds. Kenny Stills (Oklahoma wide receiver) and Josh Boyce (TCU wide receiver) were a hundredth of a second slower, coming in with times of 4.38 seconds.

After the seven players below 4.4 seconds come 12 more players who broke the 4.5 barrier. Wide receivers all took the next eight slots: Tennessee's Cordarrelle Patterson (4.42), Michigan's Denard Robinson (4.43), Virginia Tech's Corey Fuller (4.43), Tennessee's Justin Hunter (4.44), Oregon State's Markus Wheaton (4.45), Baylor's Lanear Sampson (4.46), Rutgers' Mark Harrison (4.46), and Georgia's Tavarres King (4.47).

The first defensive player comes in as the 16th fastest player this year (so far), with Zavier Gooden, Missouri linebacker, running a 4.47 second 40.

After Gooden, Lehigh wide receiver Ryan Spadola (4.48), Utah State running back Kerwynn Williams (4.48), and UCLA running back Johnathan Franklin (4.49) round out the sub-4.5 group.

Another 15 players all cleared the 4.55 mark in their drill.

The amount of speed available in this draft is amazing. The Dolphins should be able to upgrade the speed of the team easily, with their first round and multiple second round picks adding weaponry for the offense, as well as shoring up the defense.

And, again, this does not even account for the defensive backs running today.

SMU defensive end Margus Hunt came to the United States from Estonia in an effort to continue his track and field career. He was a junior champ in the shot put and discuss, but ended up playing football at SMU - a sport he didn't know. So, he started playing Madden.

SMU defensive end Margus Hunt is at the NFL Scouting Combine this week talking to teams and being measured. However, he will not be working out, waiting until his pro day to do that. Either way, though, you cannot miss Hunt, who is a 6', 8", 277 pound defensive end, who is expected to be extremely fast when he does run his 40-yard dash.

Hunt has the skills to be an early draft pick in April's Draft. He has the potential to be a dominating force in the NFL. But, he's raw. He came to the United States from his native Estonia a track and field star, being a junior champion in the shot put and the discuss. Once in the States, however, he turned to football.

The problem was, he did not know anything about football.

Hunt tried out for the coaches at SMU, then realized that having watched a few games in the student section probably was not going to be enough knowledge of the game. "After the tryout, I flew home for Christmas, got Madden NFL and I started playing," Hunt said this week. He used the game for everything down to the basics, like how many players are on the field at a time.

Now, Hunt knows the game well enough to excel for the Mustangs, but everyday he is still learning. Asked about players he watches in the NFL, Hunt replied, "J.J. Watt is definitely one of the biggest ones. He's a big dude. He can move really well. He can play every position in the defensive front. I like to look at him a lot. The entire New York Giants defensive line. They're talented. The 49ers as well, with Justin Smith and Aldon Smith."

Unfortunately for Miami Dolphins fans, Hunt is projected as a 3-4 defensive end at the NFL level. The Dolphins could target him with the idea that he would play defensive tackle as a replacement to Randy Starks if the team's Pro Bowl selection is allowed to leave in free agency this year, but he likely will be heading somewhere else in 2013.

Next year, he will be able to learn more about football while playing as himself in the next edition of Madden.
