The Miami Dolphins and New York Jets are about an hour away from their Week 7 kickoff, concluding their annual home-and-home series. The Jets will have one less Miami weapon to try to guard on the day as wide receiver DeVante Parker has been officially declared inactive for the Dolphins.

Parker injured his ankle two weeks ago early in the Dolphins’ game against the Tennessee Titans. He then missed last week’s game against the Atlanta Falcons as well. There had been hope he would be able to play this week, but the Dolphins had planned their game plan as if he would not be available. Parker, in his third season since Miami selected him 14th overall in 2015, has caught 19 passes for 236 yards with one touchdown thus far this year.

Also inactive for the Dolphins are linebacker Stephone Anthony, guard Isaac Asiata, cornerback Byron Maxwell, defensive back Maurice Smith, defensive tackle Vincent Taylor, and offensive tackle Sam Young.

The Jets will be without linebacker Freddie Bishop, running back Travaris Cadet, linebacker Obum Gwacham, quarterback Christian Hackenberg, center Jonotthan Harrison, cornerback Derrick Jones, and tight end Jordan Leggett.
