DeVante Parker injury update: Receiver to be active for Ravens game

Miami received some good news after the team’s early warms ups on Sunday.

The Miami Dolphins have been preparing to play the Baltimore Ravens without wide receiver DeVante Parker, who sustained a back injury last week against the San Francisco 49ers. According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it sounds like they may have their full receiving compliment after all:

Parker being available would be a huge benefit for an offense that will be facing the number one rush defense in the league. While the team will be looking to establish the run despite Baltimore’s success in stopping it this year, giving quarterback Ryan Tannehill the option to go to Parker will add another dynamic to the offense.

Parker warmed up with the team earlier in the day, and it appears his back responded to the work. The second-year receiver, who has 41 receptions for 549 yards and two touchdowns this season, is becoming a key target for Tannehill, who is trusting the receiver to go up and make a play on a jump ball over the past few weeks.

The Dolphins and Ravens kickoff at 1pm ET. Miami is looking to extend a six-game winning streak and keep themselves in the AFC Playoff picture.
