Branden Albert injury sends Laremy Tunsil to left tackle for Dolphins

NFL: Miami Dolphins-Training Camp Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins offensive line appears to have taken a major hit during their game against the San Diego Chargers. Near the end of the second quarter, on the play that saw Miami score a touchdown on a 39-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill to Kenny Stills, left tackle Branden Albert appeared to suffer a wrist injury and he has been forced to leave the game.

The Dolphins played one offensive snap to run out the clock at the end of the half, with rookie Laremy Tunsil moving from left guard to left tackle. Kraig Urbik replaced Tunsil at left guard.

Tannehill has been hit routinely during the game, and the team has not yet been able to spring running back Jay Ajayi loose.

The Dolphins receive the ball to start the second half, trailing 10-7. Urbik and Tunsil have taken the field to start the second half, with Albert not yet out of the locker room. He is officially listed as doubtful to return.

UPDATE: Albert returned to the game late in the third quarter. He is wearing a cast on his hand.
