The Miami Dolphins will host the Baltimore Ravens in the a Week 13 contest at Sun Life Stadium, Ahead of that game, both the Dolphins and Ravens have released their final injury reports for the weekend, and Miami is going to be without a major contributors this season. Below, you will find the breakdown of the injury report for both franchises.
According to the NFL, there are four statuses a team can use for a player on the injury report. Out, obviously, means the player is out of the game; doubtful gives the player just a 25-percent chance of playing in the game; questionable is a 50-50 shot at playing; and probable means the player has a 75-percent chance of making the game.
The Dolphins have ruled out offensive tackle Ja'Wuan James (toe), wide receiver Rishard Matthews (ribs), and defensive tackle Earl Mitchell (calf), while the Ravens have ruled out tight end Maxx Williams (concussion). The Dolphins being without Matthews could be a huge blow for Miami's offense. Matthews is second in the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards, and is tied for the lead in receiving touchdowns. Kenny Stills, who will show up later on the injury report, and rookie DeVante Parker could both have big roles in this game since Matthews is out (and assuming Stills can play).
The Ravens listed wide receiver Marlon Brown (back) and offensive tackle Eugene Monroe (shoulder) as doubtful for Sunday. Neither player practiced during the week.
Miami categorized center Mike Pouncey (foot) and Stills as questionable. Pouncey did not practice on Wednesday, but returned in a limited fashion for Thursday and Friday. The team believes he will be able to play, but there is concern that the injury that sidelined him for most of last week's game against the New York Jets could again keep Pouncey from playing. Stills, again on whom Miami may need to rely this weekend, was not on the injury report on Wednesday, but was added on Thursday in a limited fashion for an ankle injury, then did not practice on Friday.
The probable list for both teams included several players. Miami's list included running back Jay Ajayi (shoulder), offensive tackle Branden Albert (not injury related), safety Shamiel Gary (foot), linebacker Jelani Jenkins (ankle), wide receiver Jarvis Landry (knee), linebacker Chris McCain (hip), linebacker Koa Misi (abdomen), defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (shoulder), linebacker Kelvin Sheppard (hamstring), and tight end Dion Sims (neck). For the Ravens, the probable list included defensive end Chris Canty (not injury related), guard Keleci Osemele (knee), linebacker Daryl Smith (not injury related), and tight end Rickk Wagner (not injury related).
