The Miami Dolphins made an addition to their injury report today, placing wide receiver Rishard Matthews on the list. Matthews has an illness that officially makes him questionable to face the New York Jets. Miami visits MetLife Stadium on Sunday, with a 1pm ET kickoff.
Matthews joins Jarvis Landry as wide receivers who may not be available for the game. Matthews currently leads the team in receiving yardage and receiving touchdowns, while Landry leads the team in receptions. The loss of either player will hurt Miami's offense Sunday. The potential loss of both players could be devastating for a team desperately in need of a win.
Behind Landry and Matthews, the Dolphins have Kenny Stills, Greg Jennings, and DeVante Parker as the potential replacements. The team may also have to rely on tight ends Jordan Cameron and Dion Sims, neither of whom has had great receiving seasons thus far, as well as running backs Lamar Miller and Jay Ajayi coming out of the backfield.
