Miami Dolphins safety Jimmy Wilson has been forced from the team's game against the New England Patriots with an apparent head injury. Wilson was hit in the head by a New England wide receiver, a hit that led to an offensive pass interference call.
Wilson was starting in place of the suspended Reshad Jones at safety for Miami. He will now undergo concussion testing on the sideline.
With Wilson out of the game, Michael Thomas will likely come into the contest to replace him. Thomas was the star, and AFC East Defensive Player of the Week, the last time the Patriots and Dolphins played. Just days after signing with the Dolphins, Thomas, who had been a practice squad player with the San Francisco 49ers, sealed Miami's win with an endzone interception of Brady.
Miami also has safety Walt Aikens available for the game if needed.
Wilson joins starting linebackers Dannell Ellerbe and Koa Misi as Dolphins knocked out of the game today.
