Cortland Finnegan out of Dolphins Thursday game versus Bills

Miami Dolphins cornerback Cortland Finnegan has been ruled out of the team's Thursday game against the Buffalo Bills.

Miami Dolphins cornerback Cortland Finnegan will miss Thursday's game against the Buffalo Bills due to an ankle injury. Finnegan injured the ankle against the Detroit Lions this past Sunday and was visibly frustrated on the sidelines, slamming his fists into the trainer's table and walking the sideline with his shoe in his hand. This will mark the first missed game for Finnegan since signing with the Dolphins this offseason.

Finnegan is not the only injured player for the Dolphins, as he is joined on the team's official injury report by Daryn Colledge, who is listed as doubtful with the back injury that has caused him to miss the last two games. Tight end Charles Clay (knee), long snapper John Denney (knee), linebacker Kelvin Sheppard (hip/groin), and tight end Dion Sims (toe) are also on the report, all listed as questionable.

The probable section of Miami's report lists defensive end Dion Jordan, who is battling a hamstring problem; running back Lamar Miller, who has a shoulder injury; linebacker Koa Misi, with the ankle issue that has plagued him all season; guard Mike Pouncey, with a hip problem; quarterback Ryan Tannehill, with both an ankle problem and an injury to his throwing shoulder; and defensive back Jimmy Wilson, with an injured hamstring.

For Buffalo, defensive end Jarius Wynn has been ruled out with a knee problem. The questionable category lists cornerback Ron Brooks (groin), wide receiver Marcus Easley (knee), running back Fred Jackson (groin), and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (ribs). Finally, wide receiver Sammy Watkins (groin) is probable for the contest.

The Dolphins host the Bills on NFL Network's Thursday Night Football starting at 8:30pm ET Thursday.
