During yesterday's practice, Miami Dolphins cornerback Dimitri Patterson was forced to hang out on the sideline, nursing a groin injury he suffered late in the team's Week 1 victory over the Cleveland Browns. Today, however, it appears the worry of Patterson missing playing time against the Indianapolis Colts this weekend was premature. Patterson returned to work on a limited basis today.
Patterson rejoined a secondary that welcomed back rookie Will Davis yesterday. Davis had sat out the last week of practices, and missed the Week 1 contest, due to a foot injury. The Dolphins need as much secondary help as they can get this week, covering the multiple wide receivers the Colts will throw at them.
With Patterson missing practice yesterday and being limited today, Nolan Carroll continues to get snaps with the first team defense.
Rookie cornerback Jamar Taylor continues to miss practice as he rehabs a groin injury suffered late in the preseason.
The Dolphins have tomorrow off in their new practice schedule, working out on Tuesdays, but having Thursday as the off day.
