Week 17 of the 2013 NFL season is upon us, with playoff implications all over the schedule of games. For the Miami Dolphins, the first step to the postseason comes with their game against the New York Jets, where the Dolphins have to beat their AFC East rivals.
While both teams released their final injury reports of the week last night, the biggest name on the report was Dolphins starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill. During Miami's game against the Buffalo Bills last week, Tannehill was forced to miss six snaps, the first six plays for Miami in which their second-year signal caller was not on the field, after injuring his knee. However, he was able to practice fully all week, and, on the injury report, the Dolphins officially listed him as probable, and it appears he will be 100-percent for the weekend.
Along with Tannehill, safety Chris Clemons (knee/hamstring), wide receiver Brian Hartline (knee), safety Don Jones (elbow/abdomen), linebacker Koa Misi (triceps), wide receiver Marlon Moore (wrist), defensive tackle Jared Odrick (wrist), defensive tackle Paul Soliai (ankle), and cornerback Jamar Taylor (hamstring), were all listed as probable.
The only member of Miami's roster at less than a probable status is running back Daniel Thomas, who is questionable for the contest. Thomas has been dealing with an ankle injury the past few weeks, and re-aggravated the injury last week.
For the Jets, defensive back Ellis Lankster is questionable with a jaw injury. The team also listed defensive lineman Quinton Coples (shoulder), defensive back Antonio Cromartie (hip), linebacker Demario Davis (thumb), defensive lineman Kenrick Ellis (back), wide receiver Santonio Holmes (foot/hamstring), offensive lineman Austin Howard (knee), running back Chris Ivory (quadriceps/ankle), wide receiver Jeremy Kerley (elbow), defensive back Dawan Landry (hand), offensive lineman Nick Mangold (toe), linebacker Garrett McIntyre (knee), defensive back Ed Reed (non-injury), defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson (finger/shoulder), defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson (wrist), and tight end Kellen Winslo (knee/illness), as probable for Sunday.
The Dolphins and Jets kickoff in Miami's Sun Life Stadium at 1pm ET. With a win and a Baltimore Ravens loss or a San Diego Chargers win, the Dolphins will make the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
