Daniel Thomas injury sends running back to locker room

The Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers are in the middle of their Week 12 match up. Miami running back Daniel Thomas has left the game, and the field, with an ankle injury.

Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins don't run the ball well, but when they do, both Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas has the chance to be the effective runner.  With only 13-yards rushing through three quarters today against the Carolina Panthers, neither one has been hugely effective.  However, it will now be up to Lamar Miller to help out away a 16-13 lead.

Thomas as left the game with an ankle injury.  He stayed down on the field after an awkward tackle, but eventually was able to walk off under his own power.  Once on the side line, Thomas threw down his helmet and climbed up on the trainer's table.  He was then carted off the field and back to the locker room.

He's officially listed as questionable to return with an ankle injury.
