Nolan Carroll injury brings in Jamar Taylor

The Miami Dolphins are dealing with another injury on the defensive side of the ball, as Nolan Carroll has now left the game against the Baltimore Ravens. Rookie Jamar Taylor replaces him.

USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins have been dealing with an injury bug on defense the last few weeks.  It has struck again in the second half of the team's game against the Baltimore Ravens as Nolan Carroll has now left the game.  Rookie Jamar Taylor replaced Carroll.

Carroll was injured when he went up and deflected a deep pass away from Deonte Thompson.  Carroll came down awkwardly on his shoulder as he fell, eventually leaving the field under his own power.  He was called for defensive pass interference on the play, despite there appearing to be no contact between Carroll and Thompson.

Three plays after the phantom pass interference flag - a three play set that included another questionable pass interference penalty, the one on Brent Grimes - the Ravens were able to score a game tying touchdown on a two yard run from Ray Rice.

It's currently 13-13 in the third period.  Join the discussion of all the second half action in our game thread.

[UPDATE:] Carroll returned to the game with 2:34 left in the third quarter.

[UPDATE:] Carroll again left the game with 1:26 left in the third quarter, holding his ribs.
