Miami Dolphins Fantasy Football Sit/Start: Week 6

Here’s who to start or sit in the Dolphins Week 6 lineup with the Steelers.

So I think fantasy performance might be the least of most Dolphins fans after last week’s performance and the general confusion that surrounds the franchise right now. Well the best way to escape our grim reality as Fins fans is to dive head first back into fantasy football projections. Let’s see what the dolphins have in store for Week 6.

Note: The point projections are based on a standard PPR league scoring (0.5 PPR) with fractional points.

START

Ryan Tannehill (QB) – Yahoo Fantasy Projection: 17.33 PTS

So I guess I was wrong Ryan Tannehill CAN have two terrible fantasy games in a row. His poor performance was half due to a complete lack of pocket presence and a battered offensive line that couldn’t protect Tannehill from my grandma. The Steelers are all offense this year and allow 302 passing yards per game, so Tannehill has a chance to put up some numbers. I’m saying third time is a charm.

Jarvis Landry (WR) – Yahoo Fantasy Projection: 13.49 PTS

Again Landry suffered from a lack of touches as the ball rarely crossed the line of scrimmage in the air against the Titans. Landry has proven that he is a starter every week whether in your WR3 or Flex position he will generally reward your patience with his lackluster offensive line and quarterback.

SIT

Devante Parker/Kenny Stills (WR) – Yahoo Fantasy Projection: 10.6/7.25 PTS

The rest of the Dolphins offense has proved to be far too risky to start for any reason until there is an injury or some other act of God (like consistently converting third downs). If you are in a pinch you might consider starting Parker but I’m sure your waiver wire has better options than either of these two receivers.

Arian Foster/Jay Ajayi (RB) – Yahoo Fantasy Projection: 8.94/2.53 PTS

Even though it looks like Foster might finally be ready to suit up for Miami this week I would avoid the risk as we have no idea how he might be utilized. Jay Ajayi was featured pretty heavily last week and when he was given actual holes to run through he did well. Both will share the carries and Foster will get more passing downs, but until the offensive line shows some ability to run block this is a backfield to hide on your fantasy bench.

Dolphins Defense/Special Teams – Yahoo Fantasy Projection: PTS

If the Dolphins defense can’t stop Marcus Mariota then there is little hope that they will contain Big Ben and company. I think that’s all I need to say about that.
