EA Sport’s popular NFL video game Madden 22 is set to release next month, and diehard fans of the Miami Dolphins will finally get that homefield advantage the team has benefited from since Stephen Ross transformed Hard Rock Stadium into the palace we see today.
In EA’s latest installment, teams playing at Hard Rock Stadium (AWAY TEAM) will fatigue faster than the Miami Dolphins (HOME TEAM). This means those of you looking to start a connected franchise with our beloved Miami Dolphins will finally get the homefield advantage you deserve! It also makes things more realistic, considering the away team is openly burning in the hot South Florida sun
Some of the other M-factors don’t have as much meaning as Miami’s, and could sway things much more in the home team’s favor. For example, teams playing against the Cleveland Browns will struggle when hot-routing in the red zone, or other teams may see stamina boosts.
(As you can see, the New York Jets are so pitiful, EA gave them Miami’s M-factor by default.)
Nevertheless, as someone who has played the beta, I can say this isn’t really going to make or break your experience. In fact, I think this feature, in particular, is being implemented for the inevitable return of NCAA Football.
This is one step closer to Madden being the realistic video game we have long hoped for.
If it’s in the game, It’s in the game.
What are your thoughts on EA implementing homefield advantages or ‘M-Factors’ to Madden 22? Did you plan on buying Madden 22? Would you be interested in reading about my experience with the Beta? Let me know in the comments section below!
