Wait a second, I’m not James McKinney! Nope, today’s Thursday Evening Random Live Thread is sponsored by Justin Hier instead. Hope you are all having a great week! It’s Thursday evening, and that means when we wake up tomorrow, it will be everyone’s favorite day of the week. Few things are better than knowing the weekend is right around the corner, so let’s go into tomorrow with a BANG! (No, I’m not sorry for the pun).
Since James often embeds music into his Threads, I figured I’d do the same. My favorite band, AJR, just released their fourth full-length album titled OK Orchestra, and the number one record from the set is titled BANG!. It’s quickly becoming the biggest hit of the New York-native brother trio’s career, and it was recently featured in an apple commercial, which, if you ask me, is pretty damn cool. I’m not sure at what point a band gets to say they’ve “made it”, but being featured in a commercial for one of the biggest companies on the planet is probably up there on the list of “made it” accolades. The group has certainly come a long way from street-performing in Central Park back when the youngest of the trio was still in middle school. Give the album a quick listen if you have some time, and let me know what you think in the comments!
Of course, here’s James’ usual spiel:
As this is a nightly post (when there is not a live game thread) also feel free to not only discuss the question/topic of the day but to use this as a live thread where the rules are pretty wide open, and you can discuss nearly anything so long as your continue to follow the site rules. Speaking of site rules the three rules that come with a zero-tolerance policy are that we do not allow ANY personal attacks against your fellow ‘Phins fan or even a troll from another site. Flag it and walk away, do not get yourself banned over another’s stupidity. Beyond that, there is no discussion or even references to anything remotely religious or political. There are plenty of sites for those discussions elsewhere but this is not and never will be one of them.
