The Miami Dolphins have traded up to the 42nd-overall pick from the 50th position to select Notre Dame offensive tackle Liam Eichenberg. He likely comes in to compete for the right tackle position for the Dolphins, though he could slide inside if the Dolphins decide they will stick with Robert Hunt at that position.
A five-year player at Notre Dame, Eichenberg took a redshirt season in 2016 as a freshman. He appeared in just five games in 2017 as a redshirt freshman, then locked down the left tackle position for every game from 2018 through 2020.
