The first round of the 2021 NFL Draft is complete, with the first 32 college prospects now rookies in the NFL. In that group, the Miami Dolphins added two players, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle with the sixth pick and edge rusher Jaelan Phillips with the 18th selection. Heading into the second round, Miami again holds two picks, the 36th-overall selection and the 50th-overall pick. Who is still on the big board for them heading into day two?
There are a bunch of players considered first round prospects still available. The first round saw five quarterbacks, two running backs, five wide receivers, one tight end, four offensive tackles, and one guard come off the board for the offense. On defense, six edge rushers, three linebackers, and five cornerbacks were selected. Miami’s biggest area of concern for the second round is likely at running back, where two of the top three came off the board, leaving Javonte Williams from North Carolina as the last man standing near the top of the draft board. Will Miami move up to ensure they get Williams?
