Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier continues to work his magic in the 2021 NFL Draft. After entering the selection process with the sixth pick, a selection the Dolphins held after adding the third-overall pick from the Houston Texans in a trade, turning that pick into the 12th-overall pick and future picks, then turning the 12th pick and future picks into the sixth pick, the Dolphins are on the move again.
After making two selections in the first round, adding wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and edge rusher Jaelan Phillips, the Dolphins entered the second day with three picks scheduled. They used the first of those to add Oregon safety Jevon Holland. Now they have traded the 50th pick to the New York Giants to move up to the 42nd-overall position. The Dolphins also sent the Giants a 2022 third-round pick.
