NFL Power Rankings Week 13: Cardinals remain in No.1 spot, while Dolphins continue to climb

Week 12 of the 2021 NFL season is officially in the books, and several teams have started to separate from the pack as they look to better position themselves for a late December playoff push.

The Dolphins might not currently be in the thick of a post-season race. However, they do have a 9% chance to make the playoffs, according to FiveThirtyEight. Nevertheless, after an impressive 33-10 win over the Carolina Panthers, Brian Flores’s team is one step closer to a .500 record. Something that seemed nearly impossible one month ago.

And who knows, we’ve all seen enough Lifetime movies about Christmas miracles to know anything can happen. But enough about Miami’s playoff aspirations, which are currently about as real as Santa Claus, let’s take a look at our week 13 NFL power rankings.

Here’s how we do things around here, according to Kevin.

“For those that don’t know, the way we do Power Rankings on The Phinsider is slightly different than other places around the web. Instead of just taking last week’s rankings, moving teams that won up and teams that loss down, we start with a clean slate every week. Then, Josh Houtz and Kevin Nogle alternate picks in a draft-style rankings, answering the question, “Who will win the Super Bowl?” It can sometimes lead to dramatic changes in the rankings, but it can also lead to a team staying in place, despite maybe a poor showing the previous weekend.”

This week, Kevin is busy, so I (@Houtz) will be going Hans Solo! On to the rankings:
