Welcome to Wildcat Wednesdays!
Over the next few weeks, I will be re-visiting the Dolphins’ 2008 season. More specifically—David Lee’s infamous ‘Wildcat’ offense—which helped turn Miami's season around.
And for those that have amnesia or are too young to remember, this was one of the better seasons in recent memory. It was also the last time the Dolphins won the AFC East, even if Bernard Pollard had a little something to do with it.
Nevertheless, 2008 was one of the most memorable seasons in recent memory. And over the last several years, I have searched far and wide to have the chance to re-watch this game, with little prevail. Until now.
Here is the first installment in my Wildcat Wednesday series.

here's where it all began..

personnel: 2 TEs, 3 HBs, pennington at Z (bot), cobbs at Y (top)
the play is a power-o, out of the WC formation. williams comes in motion pre-snap. brown fakes the handoff and waits patiently for the incognito to open up the hole for the easy TD. pic.twitter.com/C1LWC2CbV3

here, brown gives the ball to #34 on the jet-sweep. a massive block from TE david martin helped spring williams for the 34-yard run.
i miss this o-line almost as much as WC pic.twitter.com/0Tb8q41c9j
this is the same play design as the first TD ronnie brown scored.

it was clear that on this day, nothing new england was going to do could stop the #dolphins wildcat offense. pic.twitter.com/tDJvHnGBbj
just when new england thought they had everything figured out...

ronnie brown transformed into the second coming of michael vick and with the flick of a wrist, throws a dime to fasano for the TD.
nice block from martin, that gives brown just enough time to make the throw. pic.twitter.com/LnSKcbn8Db
it really is amazing how the #dolphins just lined up in the same formation, and bill belichick had no remedy to stop it.
