Undervalued Prospects

Here are some players I feel are undervalued based on what I've been hearing and reading from analysts. I'm not saying they are "Sleepers" or Pro Bowlers. Some will be UDFAs. If we trade down,, they might be worth an investment of those extra picks when the cupboard is bare of Blue Chippers.

CBs

Amani Oruwariye PennSt 6'1" 204 lbs - I never hear anyone talk about him but he looks good and his measurables are great.

Joejuan Williams Vanderbilt 6'2" 208 lbs - He was talked about and then ran a not so good 40 time and never heard about again. His taped looked good to me running stride for stride with WRs.

Iman Marshall USC 6'0" 205 lbs - He has a good chance of being a UDFA. Nice combo of size and speed, plays the ball well in man and zone, good in run support. He was a top prospect out of H.S. Can be switched to Safety at the worst.

LBs

Blake Cashman Minnesota 6'2" 235 - He's been a hot name as of late but I think he's not being talked about enough. I think he is a top 5 guy in this weak LB class.

Germaine Pratt NC State 6'3" 245 - A former Safety who is a hard hitter with good size and speed. The Devins get all the publicity but I can see Pratt becoming a force too.

Edge

Maxx Crosby Eastern Michigan 6"5" 265 lbs - He has garnered some attention but with a loaded class and small school origins, he doesn't get the attention he deserves. You talk about effort? Watch his tape, great motor. With some seasoning he can be a steal.

Jonathan Ledbetter Georgia 6'3" 277 lbs - He's not a wow guy and probably not a starter but he can be a solid BU and every team needs that. He reminds me of William Hayes.

Jordan Brailford Oklahoma 6"3" 250 lbs - He offers some passrush as a 34 backer. He looked good in the East vs West Shrine game.

Porter Gustin USC 6'4" 255 lbs - Injuries derailed what looked like a promising college career. If healthy, He's worth a late round flier. UDFA for sure.

DTs

Dexter Lawrence Clemson 6'4" 340 lbs - Yes he gets talked about but more so 2nd round. Late 1st at best. I think he is worth our 13th pick. He gives us a true 0 tech for our 34 front, will free up our backers and l am tired of teams running it down our throat. You'll love him on those 3rd and 1s!

Trysten Hill UCF 6'1" 330 lbs - This guy is really undervalued. He hustles like crazy, makes plays in the backfield and can push the middle of the pocket. He is the anti Jordan Phillips!

Gs

Ben Powers Oklahoma 6'4" 314 lbs - Samia gets more attention than him but his Size and tape is better than Samia.

Alex Bars Notre Dame 6'5" 312 lbs - Injuries hit his stock but I would spend a 7th on him. UDFA for sure.

Nick Allegretti Illinois 6'4" 320lbs - His will not be drafted so UDFA is where I would take him. He looked good in the East vs West Shrine Game. Possible cheap BU Guard.

T

Dalton Risner Kansas State 6'5" 320 lbs - Highly rated but I think he is the best Right Tackle in this draft and he can play any position on the line minus LT.

WR

Andy Isabella UMass 5'10" 195 lbs - Blazer, good hands, good routes, good work ethic. I don't think we need a WR this year but I wouldn't be that mad if we took him in the 2nd. I think he will be that good.

Hunter Renfrow Clemson 5'10" 195 lbs - His 40 time pretty much made him a UDFA but I would spend our last 7th on him. He makes plays....and often at critical times in a game. See Championship game and Senior Bowl as exhibit A and B.

Penny Hart Georgia State 5'8" 180 lbs - His lateral ability and suddenness stood out at the Senior Bowl. He will be dangerous on quick slants...I'm thinking short yardage and T.D.s for this guy. He will get separation for sure on defenders they way he comes out of his breaks. UDFA is where I would take him.

Shawn Poindexter Arizona 6'4" 212 lbs - I see him as a UDFA project. He is a volleyball convert who did well at the Senior Bowl. His potential is huge. He could be an immediate red zone threat. He scored a TD in each of his last 5 games.

QB

Jordan Ta'amu Mississippi 6'2" 212 lbs - He has some good physical tools and throws a pretty deep ball. Needs a lot of work but he never gets mentioned in that 2nd tier of QBs. He is never talked about much really. I think he is worth a 7th at least.

Overrated guys in my opinion are:

Rashan Gary - I just don't see it. Where's the production? yeah his shoulder was hurt last year. I think he will be a really good run defender. Passrush? Not so much.

Ben Banogu - His tape did not impress me.

Charles Omenihu - Oh man who? Over hyped for sure. Watch Voch Lombardi's tape of him on youtube. I was surprised by what I saw. I'd spend a 5th on him, that's about it.

Zach Allen - He did a disappearing act in the Senior Bowl. He should have just stayed home because it killed his stock. He even got washed out for a rushing TD right at him in that game.

Byron Murphy and Lonnie Johnson - I'm putting them together because I see the same thing with them. Scheme dependent is what I see. They looked great playing zone and everything is in front of them with their eyes to the QB. Both are physical but what I don't see is much of them with their back to the ball running stride for stride with WRs and then playing the ball.
