Instant reaction to Miami Dolphins draft pick Mike Gesicki

NCAA Football: Rutgers at Penn State Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins made their second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, adding Penn State tight end Mike Gesicki. The move gives the Dolphins the seam-threat, pass-catching tight end that has been missing from the roster for the last several years. He will likely become a split-out, slot type receiver more than he will be playing in tight on the line of scrimmage, but he will become a key member of the Dolphins passing game.

As we did yesterday with the Dolphins’ selection of Minkah Fitzpatrick in the first round, we turn to Twitter to get an idea of how people are reacting to Miami’s selection. Overall, it seems pretty positive, which makes it two-for-two for the Dolphins in picks that excite the fan base.

Could the Dolphins be building something? If they keep up this Draft, getting top rated players at positions of need as the selection process continues, it could become something special in South Florida.
