The Miami Dolphins have made their have selected Penn State tight end Mike Gesicki in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The move gives Miami a pass catching tight end, a position that has been a glaring hole for the South Florida franchise for years.
In four seasons at Penn State, Gesicki caught 129 passes for 1,481 yards with 15 touchdowns. He is not seen as a blocking tight end, but he is a match up guy who goes up and gets the ball in the passing game.
