Despite what some may say, the 2018 season is not yet over.
It is December, and the Miami Dolphins are 6-6 and “in the hunt” for the final wildcard spot.
But what if the Dolphins have an epic collapse, and lose three of their remaining four games?
I’m not sure anyone can confidently say what Stephen Ross’ next move would be.
Would he retain Adam Gase and the current regime?
Or would he get desperate, and make changes to the current regime.
We all remember Ross hopping in his jet and traveling west after the 2010 season, with hopes of luring Jim Harbaugh to South beach.
Years later, he was the HC of Ross’ beloved Michigan Wolverines.
But what if Harbaugh has his eyes set on the NFL? Could Ross have interest in the man that led the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl?
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, believes the Dolphins would be the prime landing spot...
.@ProFootballTalk says he was told if and when Jim Harbaugh returns to the NFL, he's going to the Miami Dolphins. No word on when that would be, however. https://t.co/I7poeOHSGH

Again, no decision is imminent. And I don’t believe Stephen Ross will make a change until after the 2019 season. Ross has used the word ““young Shula” to describe Adam Gase, and would almost certainly give him a fourth season as he did with Joe Philbin.
But if/when he does go searching for his next head coach, Jim Harbaugh will be a name to watch out for.
