Buffalo Bills claim Deon Lacey from Dolphins

The AFC East is a place where players and coaches often move between the four teams in the division. The New York Jets on Sunday were awarded former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Damore’ea Stringfellow, and now the league has reported that the Buffalo Bills have claimed linebacker Deon Lacey from Miami as well.

Lacey was a longshot to make the roster in Miami, but he had moved his way up to being a roster bubble player as the end of the preseason neared. The former Canadian Football League star was hoping to follow another former CFL player, Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake, in finding success in South Florida. Now, it appears he will chase his NFL dream with the Bills.

Along with Lacey and Stringfellow, the Dolphins also had cornerback Lafayette Pitts claimed off waivers, this time by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Miami claimed Cleveland Browns kicker Cody Parkey and Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Justin March-Lillard.
