Your Miami Dolphins travel to take on the hated New York Jets this week in what according to the majority of the experts should be a second consecutive win for the Phins, allowing them to hold on to first place in the AFC East for at least another week. Another loss for the Jets will, of course, leave them with their third consecutive loss and a firm hold on their positioning in the basement of the division.
Game two for the Dolphins could mark another good week for the Dolphins Jay Ajayi given that the Jets have surrendered a league-worst 370 yards on the ground in their first two games. Ajayi did show up on the Phins injury report this last Wednesday but going into Sunday he was expected to play against the Jets. The Jets have been outscored 66 to 32 in their first two games but despite their obvious struggles Dolphins head coach Adam Gase expects this game to be hard-fought. Gase suggested that the game would be a “slugfest” and that “This is one of those games where you throw everything out the window”. Here’s to hoping your Miami Dolphins are the ones to land the final knockout blow!
