Terrence Fede makes Dolphins 2017 roster

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at Miami Dolphins Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins opened the offseason training program and training camp this year deep at the defensive end position. It appears, the team will open the regular season the same way. According to a report from the Palm Beach Post’s Jason Lieser, fourth-year defensive end Terrence Fede will make the 53-man roster.

Fede will join Cameron Wake, Andre Branch, Charles Harris, and William Hayes, all of whom are expected to be safe from today’s roster cuts. Teams all around the NFL have to trim their rosters from the preseason 90-man roster limit to the regular season 53-man limit by 4pm ET Saturday.

The Dolphins selected Fede in the seventh-round of the 2014 Draft. He has appeared in 35 games in his first three seasons, recording 40 defensive tackle, one sack, one safety, and one fumble recovery. He has also shown exceptional abilities on special teams, which could be where the Dolphins are looking to use him the most this year.
