Miami Dolphins linebacker Lawrence Timmons is not currently with the team as they prepare for this afternoon’s contest against the Los Angeles Rams, according to a report from Jason La Canfora. There is no indication of where Timmons is, and his availability for the team’s 2017 season debut is not yet known.
According to multiple reports, the Dolphins do know where he is, but that information has not been released or reported.

As CBS reported, Timmons not currently with team and his status for kickoff is unknown. However, the team does know his location I am told.

According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins are not expecting Timmons to play during today’s game:
Lawrence Timmons is not expected to play for Dolphins today. Something angered him. He's not with team. Dolphins know where he is.

We will continue to update this story as more details become available. Timmons has played 101 straight games int he NFL, joining the Dolphins this offseason as a free agent after ten years with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He last missed a start in 2010, and last missed a game in 2009.
The Dolphins and Chargers will kickoff in Los Angeles at 4:05pm ET.
Update 1: Salguero has added that there are no legal issues for Timmons, including no arrest, that would prevent him from playing in the game.
Update 2: La Canfora has said the team is expected to have Timmons inactive for the game. He adds they are “assessing” the situation.
