Week 1 of the NFL’s preseason schedule is here, starting the tune-up period for the 30 teams who did not play in the Hall of Fame Game last week. Tonight features just one game, with the Carolina Panthers hosting the Houston Texans at 7:30pm ET. Since the Miami Dolphins are not playing until tomorrow, and there is only the one game tonight, why not break out our “How to watch” article for tonight’s contest.
Again, this is Week 1 of the preseason, so there will be several starters for both teams who probably will not even see the field, or, if they do play, you will not want to blink or you might miss their appearances. Teams do not typically game plan for this game like they do the third preseason game, or for games in the regular season, so tonight - and the rest of preseason Week 1 - will be about getting on the field and executing on the individual level and coaches getting a chance to see some of their depth and younger players in game situations.
