Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill injured his left knee during the team’s training camp practice on Thursday. Thanks to a fan and WSVN, we have video of the play in which Tannehill was injured:

Tannehill’s knee is the same one he injured last year, so his going down on the sideline without any contact is highly concerning. The team has not made a statement about the injury, but speculation does seem to be leaning toward it being an issue that will at least lead to a lengthy recovery. According to a report from the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero, the Dolphins are awaiting results from an MRI on Tannehill’s knee.
The Dolphins currently have Matt Moore, Brandon Doughty, and David Fales on the roster along with Tannehill at the quarterback position. The team, if Tannehill’s knee injury is found to be severe, could look to add to the position group, either signing a free agent or possibly trading for a quarterback.
