The Miami Dolphins have featured more than a handful of colorful characters in their history, and Sporting News recently featured a few familiar faces on their "40 most hated NFL players of all time" list.

Three former Dolphins, and two current players made the list of 40. Here are the players that made the cut according to Sporting News:

No. 33 - Ricky Williams

No. 30 - Bryan Cox

No. 18 - Richie Incognito

No. 13 - Jay Cutler

No. 3 - Ndamukong Suh

According to Sporting News' description of the list, players were ranked by the issues that they faced during their playing career. Qualifiers for the list can come from off-the-field issues to just being downright annoying while on the field.

For example, Suh's place at number three was justified by Sporting News with the following description:

Suh can be dominant, but that’s overwhelmed by his reputation as a dirty player, and he has his own anthology of dirty plays. That includes kicking Green Bay’s Evan Dietrich-Smith, stepping on Aaron Rodgers’ leg or flat-out body-slamming Jake Delhomme. He has paid a ton of fines and has shown no willingness to change. Suh hasn’t helped his image much in Miami.

What do you think of the list of all-time hated players? Are there any players that you feel are more deserving of a spot? Tell us about the players—from any team or era—that drove you crazy in the comments below.
