Dolphins head coach, Adam Gase has stated that the Miami Dolphins faithful will get their first chance to see new and assumed season starter Jay Cutler under center for the team to start tonight's game. This will, of course, be Cutlers first action on the field as a member of the Dolphins after signing a one year deal with the team, a move prompted by the injury to quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill as most Phins fans now know has been relegated to injured reserve for the 2017 NFL season Cutler spent a previous season under the tutelage of Gase. Most fans hope this will translate to similar success as Jays best season thus far was in Gase’s system. Questions still remain as to if starting running back Jay Ajayi, who was under the team's concussion protocol previously this preseason or starting tight end Julius Thomas (injured back) will see their first action this preseason tonight or not.
