Dolphins depth chart Preseason Week 2: Slight adjustments to second release

New, comments

The Miami Dolphins have updated their depth chart for Preseason Week 2.

The second week of the Preseason is upon us, and the Miami Dolphins have released an updated depth chart for their contest against the Baltimore Ravens. There are only small changes to the chart, with nothing signifying more or less playing time for any player. The biggest change was the obvious one for the Dolphins, were quarterback Ryan Tannehill comes off the roster as he is placed on injured reserve and Jay Cutler is added to the chart - though not in the top spot where Matt Moore is listed as the number one quarterback.

The other change was the addition of linebacker Junior Sylvestre, who takes the fourth string position on the outside, behind Kiko Alonso. Defensive end Arthur Miley comes off the chart as well, providing the roster space that was used to sign Cutler before Tannehill was officially placed on injured reserve.

One change that still has to happen to the depth chart is the move of rookie Raekwon McMillan out of the top middle linebacker position. McMillan tore his ACL in last Thursday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons and will miss the remainder of the year. Mike Hull, currently listed as the number two behind McMillan, will likely move into the starting lineup, thought the Dolphins could also consider moving starting outside linebackers Alonso or Lawrence Timmons into the middle and finding an outside replacement for either of them.

The team’s Preseason Week 2 depth chart is below:
