Miami Dolphins training camp predictions of the 2017 53-man roster

The Miami Dolphins are settling into their training camp routine now, reaching the first padded day of practices on Saturday. While it is still extremely early in camp, with lots of practice time and four preseason games before the Dolphins coaching staff have to get the 90-man roster down to the regular season 53-man roster, it seems like a great time to take a shot at predicting the 53-man roster.

Some of these players are obvious - Ryan Tannehill, Jarvis Landry, Laremy Tunsil, Ndamukong Suh, Cameron Wake, Reshad Jones, et cetera - while some of them seem like nearly sure-bets, but there is at least a question mark there - Jakeem Grant?, Walt Aikens?, Brandon Doughty? - and then there are pure guesses where depth is needed - Trevor Reilly?. It is an exercise in trying to put together the best 53-man roster, and for the Dolphins, there are places where an extremely talented player is going to be left off the roster because the numbers just do not work out in his favor.

With all of that said, here is my (and I stress, “my” simply because there is nothing official about any of this, and I am sure there are going to be places where you as well as the other contributors here on The Phinsider will disagree with my choices) first prediction of the 53-man roster for the 2017 training camp.
