Welcome to the Splash Zone, the quickest way to get your day started off right. We bring you a rundown of Miami Dolphins news from the last 24 hours.

So far so good for Charles Harris. The rookie first round pick has looked good during OTA’s and his first step has been impressive. This is only OTA’s, which means no pads, so we’ll see how Harris handles himself when that time comes around.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day's round-up below.

Miami Dolphins’ first-round pick Charles Harris starts strong in OTAs | The Daily Dolphin
DAVIE—The Dolphins were thrilled that defensive end Charles Harris lasted long enough in the NFL Draft for them to land him at No. 22, and what they’ve seen so far as confirmed their scouting assessment.

Adam Gase

Adam Gase takes the entitlement mentality out of Miami | ProFootballTalk

Miami Dolphins running back Kenyan Drake has playmaking abilities, but instead of always trying to make big plays, coach Adam Gase wants Drake to sometimes simply take what's there.

Dolphins Offensive Line

Dolphins' Pouncey will be ready for season 'for sure,' teammate says | Miami Herald
Mike Pouncey remains on track to start Week 1. But that’s still three months off, and the Dolphins are in no hurry to put him at risk in practice.

Dolphins Defensive Line

Miami Dolphins’ big surprise of OTAs? defensive tackle Lawrence Okoye | The Daily Dolphin
DAVIE—He’s got a long way to go when it comes to securing a spot on the roster, but former discus thrower and rugby player Lawrence Okoye has gotten the Dolphins’ attention during Organized Team Activities.

Dolphins Linebackers

Miami Dolphins have no timetable for Koa Misi return from neck injury | The Daily Dolphin
DAVIE--As the Dolphins move toward training camp, it sounds like the possibility of linebacker Koa Misi contributing is being thought of as simply a bonus. Misi has yet to get on the field during Organized Team Activities, and coach Adam Gase has no timetable for when he'll be back.

Dolphins Secondary

Safety first? Miami Dolphins’ Michael Thomas ‘most comfortable’ at nickel corner | The Daily Dolphin
DAVIE — The roster still has an ’S’ next to Michael Thomas’ name. It stands for safety, of course, and it makes sense, since that’s the role that landed Thomas with the Dolphins in the first place. But that was then.
