Chris Cornell passed away in Detroit last night of what are still unknown causes at the age of 52. Cornell had earlier in the evening performed a show with his band Soundgarden.
Cornell was born Christopher John Boyle in 1964. As a musician, singer and songwriter he went on to form not only the band Soundgarden but was also the front-man for the band Temple of the Dog and the lead singer and songwriter for the band Audioslave.
Cornell is noted as one of the leaders of the 90's grunge movement that centered in and around Seattle Washington, Chris' hometown. Chris was also known for his extensive catalog as a songwriter as well as his near four-octave vocal range. Cornell also released four albums as a solo artist.
Chris Cornell will be sorely missed by many music fans. RIP Chris!
This is one of our daily random live threads. A daytime live thread is posted each weekday with one also being posted to cover both Saturday and Sunday each weekend. Feel free to stop in and discuss anything from your Miami Dolphins to anything else that comes to mind. As always please avoid the two subjects of religion and politics as they are of course prohibited by site rules. Photos and GIF's are fine, just please do not "blow up" the thread by posting too many of either as they eventually slow down the load time of the page for those on mobile devices or those with slower internet speeds. Also please do not post very large photos (preview your photo's before hitting post) and be sure that any photo's that you do post are appropriate and follow site rules.
