The Splash Zone 4/6/17: The Case For Taking A Defensive End In Round One

Though the Dolphins have a star defensive end in Cameron Wake and a quality starter in Andre Branch, according to Armando Salguero, he believes the team should draft a defensive end in the first round. Wake is getting up there in age and after having a solid season last year, Branch needs to prove he can do that on a consistent basis. I see where Armando is going with this and I like his thinking. The Dolphins are going to eventually have to replace Wake and the team has to find a player of equal or better skill. This is going to be tough to do as Wake has been one of the most dominant defensive lineman in the league since he joined the NFL.
