The Miami Dolphins will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a Week 1 matchup on September 10. Kickoff to that game may be five months away, but Thursday night’s schedule release has allowed odds makers to begin releasing their opening betting lines for the Week 1 games. How do the Buccaneers and Dolphins match up this far out?

With Miami a slight favorite. According to BetOnline.AG, the Dolphins are a 2.5 point favorite over their intrastate rivals. The over/under for the game is set at 47.5.

Obviously, things will change between now and the actual game, with the NFL Draft, training camp, preseason, and possibly injuries all coming into play between now and then. It will be interesting to see how the line changes when we actually get to the kickoff for the game.

The odds for the other AFC East teams in Week 1 include the New England Patriots as a seven point favorite over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Thursday Night Football kickoff to the season in Foxboro. The New York Jets will visit the Buffalo Bills in Week 1, where the Bills are set as 5.5 point favorites.
