Dolphins free agents decisions via fans in ‘Re-sign, tag, walk’ results

Free agency is nearly here for the NFL, which means rumors, speculation, reports, and players are going to be flying all over the place. Over the past several weeks, we here on The Phinsider asked you the fans to vote on what you would like to see the Miami Dolphins do for each of the 20 players scheduled to become free agents at 4pm ET Thursday.

We have broken the free agents into the categories of the types of free agents, with the results of your choice to re-sign/tender the player, use the franchise tag on him, or allow him to leave for a new team. Here are the results:

Unrestricted Free Agents (Re-sign, tag or walk)

  • Andre Branch, defensive end - 92.2% re-sign
  • Jermon Bushrod, offensive lineman - 83.2% re-sign
  • Donald Butler, linebacker - 58.9% walk
  • Jordan Cameron, tight end - 95.4% walk
  • John Denney, long snapper - 95.7% re-sign
  • Jelani Jenkins, linebacker - 58.7% re-sign
  • Spencer Paysinger, linebacker - 84.1% re-sign
  • Bacarri Rambo, safety - 76% re-sign
  • Dion Sims, tight end - 90.2% re-sign
  • Kenny Stills, wide receiver - 60.3% re-sign
  • T.J. Yates, quarterback - 91.7% walk

Restricted Free Agents (Tender, tag, or walk)

  • Kiko Alonso, linebacker (RFA) - 89.6% tender
  • Dominique Jones, tight end (RFA) - 77.6% walk
  • Michael Thomas, safety (RFA) - 86.4% tender
  • Damien Williams, running back (RFA) - 85.7% tender
  • Nick Williams, defensive tackle (RFA) - 51.8% walk

Exclusive Rights Free Agents (Tender, tag or walk)

All of the ERFAs were tendered by the team, but here are the results from our polls:

  • Thomas Duarte, tight end (ERFA) - 72.0% tender
  • Mike Hull, linebacker (ERFA) - 90.1% tender
  • Lafayette Pitts, cornerback (ERFA) - 77.4% tender
  • Anthony Steen, center (ERFA) - 91.7% tender
