Zach Brown down to Miami, Oakland

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Buffalo Bills Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills appear to have been eliminated from the Zach Brown sweepstakes according to Jamal Womble, a close friend of the former Bills linebacker. Womble and Brown were teammates at the University of North Carolina. Brown met with the Bills, the Miami Dolphins, and the Oakland Raiders in the past couple of weeks and is now thought to be considering his offers and seeing if anyone will increase the money in those offers.

Initially, Womble stated that the Raiders offer to Brown was ‘disrespectful’ and the two sides were far away from inking a deal. Miami then found themselves right in the thick of the race as they offered more money than Oakland. However, Brown believes the Raiders have been more competitive in recent years.

The Dolphins are sticking to the same plan they have for all of free agency. They refuse to budge even though Brown would immediately bolster the linebacker unit.

According to Armando Salguero, the Dolphins still believe they have a chance to land Brown even with the sides struggling to figure out the money situation.

Hmmmmmmm.
