According to a tweet from the Miami Dolphins official account, the team has placed offensive lineman Jermon Bushrod and tight end Julius Thomas on injured reserve. This ends their seasons and with Thomas' underwhelming play and Jesse Davis' emergence as the starting right guard, this likely ends both players' stints with the Dolphins.
To fill those roster spots, the Dolphins activated tight end Thomas Duarte from the practice squad and offensive lineman Eric Smith from injured reserve. Smith was a preseason standout and Duarte should get a chance to show if further investment in the second year, seventh round pick is warranted.
