Monday Night Football: Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers Live Thread & Game Information

This weeks Monday Night Football game features two NFC North teams, the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers. The Green Bay Packers who looked like a possible championship team to start out the year are now just trying to re-right their ship following the loss of Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers went out of the game three weeks ago against the Minnesota Vikings, a game that they would eventually lose, with a broken collarbone. Green Bay then went out the following week and lost to the New Orleans Saints. They have since had a bye week, giving the coaching staff time to figure out how they proceed offensively without Rodgers running things on the field.

Before losing Rodgers the Pack had a solid four and one record. Green Bay defeated the Seattle Seahawks in week one, the Cincinnati Bengals in week three, the Chicago Bears in week four and the Dallas Cowboys in week five. Their only road-bump up to that point was a loss at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons in week two. In addition to their obvious offensive woes without one of the leagues very best quarterbacks is their defensive issues after giving up nearly 500 yards to the Saints in their last game.

The Detroit Lions also started out the season strong. The Lions defeated the Arizona Cardinals in week one and the New York Giants in week two. Since that time they have lost three out of their last four games. The Lions lost in week three to the Atlanta Falcons before defeating the Minnesota Vikings in week four. They also lost their last two games in week five and six respectively to the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints. Following their bye week in week seven they dropped another game to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
