Sunday Night Football: New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos Live Thread & Game Information

Tonight’s Sunday Night Football game features the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos. Much to the irritation of most of the Miami Dolphins faithful the Patriots, as usual, are sitting in 1st place in the AFC East but have not been as dominant as they have been in most past years. Still, despite showing some weaknesses the Pats still figure out a way to win most games and currently sit at 6 and 2 coming into the night. The Patriots two losses came in week one to the Kansas City Chiefs in week one and the Carolina Panthers in week four.

New England wins have come over the New Orleans Saints in week two, the Houston Texans in week three, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week five, the New York Jets in week six, the Atlanta Falcons in week seven, and the Los Angles Rams in week eight. Last week served at the Patriots bye week. The Patriots also enter the week ranked first in the NFL in passing yards at 317.6 yards per game and first in total yards per game at 426.6.

On the other side of the ball, the Broncos started out the season looking solid. Denver won their week one game over the San Diego Chargers and then beat up the Dallas Cowboys in week two. They lost their week three contest to the Buffalo Bills but then rebounded in week four to defeat their division rival Oakland Raiders. The followed up their victory over the Raiders with a bye week and then the slide began.

Since their bye week, the Denver Broncos have dropped four straight games to the New York Giants, the San Diego Chargers, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Broncos current three and five record leaves them in 4th place in the AFC West.
