Today’s game between the University Of Miami Hurricanes and the Florida State Seminoles is a little different than in recent years. The game was also rescheduled to this later date due to Hurricane Irma which affected most of the state of Florida. The Seminoles who in most recent years have been in the hunt for one of the top spots in the national rankings come into the game not only un-ranked but also most likely out of the hunt for the ACC title. Miami seems to be on an uptick after what was many down years for one of the most dominant programs in the country since the 80’s. The Hurricanes returned from their “Hurricane Break” to defeat Toledo and then a very good Duke program. Miami hopes to take the ACC title this season with perhaps even bigger goals beyond that and breaking what has been a seven-game losing streak to their most heated rivals, the Florida State Seminoles, will go a long way in accomplishing those goals. With all of that in mind, both squads know that nothing is guaranteed in such a long-standing bitter rivalry where the game can turn on a dime or perhaps a kick that just happens to go “Wide Right”.
